Find Out Who a Phone Number Belongs to - It Could Be Someone Trying Identity Theft

By Dennis R. Ward Platinum Quality Author

Are you getting phone calls that you have no clue who it is? Is a strange number presenting itself on your phone bill? This may be happening to you and you want to know how to go about finding the name behind the number.

Do not try doing a search on a search engine, because you will spend hours with no luck at all. You should execute a reverse cell phone lookup.

This is really important to find the name if the number keeps coming up everywhere. Somebody could be trying to steal your identity or possibly be having an affair with your spouse. Although search engines are great about getting almost any kind of information you need, they are not good at all in getting a name behind a cell phone number.

With a reverse cell phone look up all you have to do is type in the phone number and hit the search button. With in about 10 seconds you will have not only the name of the owner of the number but also their address, previous address, service provider and much more.

Now there are a lot of sites that claim to offer this service for free but that never winds up being true. No matter what the site claims you will always be asked to pay before being given the information that you really want. Knowing this will save you a couple hours of aggravation trying to find a free site that actually works.

You can also use this service to track down a person whom you may have lost contact with. Many friends have been reunited this way.

VPN Safe Secure Services Protection

by Darren W Chow

First of all, what is VPN and why do you need VPN? You see, in today's world, security is a big concern. Thousands and even millions of dollars can be lost because of a security breach. When you have top secret or confidential information stolen, or if you have someone breaking into your computer system and deleting important information, you have a lot to lose.

So in order to prevent that from happening, innovative developers have come up with a solution known as VPN (Virtual Private Servers). A VPN is meant to protect your system, as well as your network from being compromised. In other words, you don't want anyone to have unauthorized access to your system or network. That will help keep your data safe as you work.

How VPN works.

Here is a brief primer on how VPN works. When you surf the Internet, you are actually on a public network. That means that if your system is not protected whatsoever, anyone with malicious intent can create all sorts of problems for you. Some of these problems include spyware, viruses, intrusion attacks, etc.

To prevent that from happening, you can install additional hardware or software. When you install new hardware that acts as an active Firewall, that may help to stop many of the attacks. Some people prefer to do it with software, and that's where VPN comes in.

VPN is short for Virtual Private Network. What happens is that you will be setting up a private tunnel that others will have difficulty locating. In other words, to the outside world, you appear as anonymous. You do this by connecting to another server, and this server acts as your connection to the public network. When you connect to the Internet this way, you are actually on a Private Network. This is a much more secure way to surf the Internet. And the solution is known as VPN.

Benefits of a VPN.

As you can imagine, there are many benefits for using a VPN. You enjoy a lot of security and privacy. For example, if you are surfing from a wireless hotspot, your user names and passwords may be sniffed by sniffers on the network. Sniffer software intercepts data transmitted over the network, and that's how your user names and passwords can be captured. But when you connect through a VPN, there is no such risk.

Also, because you are surfing in a private network, you remain anonymous. Some websites log your IP address automatically, especially those that require form submissions. When you are in a private network, your IP address cannot be tracked. This means that you get more privacy as you surf.

Is it difficult to set up a VPN? The answer is no, if you know where to look. Professional VPN service providers will be able to setup a VPN account for you. When you want to go online, simply login to your VPN account and start surfing.

Help Me Repair My Slow Computer!

by Ray Reading

I remember the last time when I had someone ask, "Can you help me repair my slow computer?" It turned out to be a pretty nasty task. The computer was infested with bugs, literally bugs...cock roaches! However, I'd be willing to bet the "bugs" you're dealing with are of the software variety, and more than likely Adware or Spyware. More people get these from installing software than browsing the internet these days since most people have gotten wise and purchased some form of internet security, however people still do catch a few of these like ticks while walking through the "woods."

The next step is either take your computer to a professional computer repair specialist, or begin telling yourself, "I'm going to repair my slow computer!" since we know anyone calling themselves a specialist will be accompanied with a specialized bill-more specifically, one with the price jacked up! So, let's take the path of installing our own set of software whether it be free (Beware: You get what you pay for...) or a professional set of specialized name brand tools.

In some cases this could be nothing more than lag resulting from a certain piece of software that's been installed or even an update which you've installed for a specific application. Then you'll have it all under control and not have to ask anyone to shout, "Help me repair my slow computer!" In that case all you'll need to do is install a little extra RAM--don't let the computer "techs" scare you out of doing this yourself, it's not that difficult!

I guess that's all I can do, if you're still begging, "Help me repair my slow computer," then just visit this website.

Hope it helps you out!
